It’s on again, Artrooms Kalamunda Open Studios! Coming weekend April 1 & 2 from 10am till 5pm we will open our art studio doors again! Come have a look at finished pieces and works in progress. Have a chat and hear about the inspiration and stories behind some of the artworks. Hope to see you in my studio! 🙋‍♀️
I had a great day yesterday at the grassroots festival HAND IN HAND. This annual Kidogo Irish Aboriginal festival is celebrating ancient & contemporary Irish Culture & Aboriginal Culture, hand in hand. It’s a festival of friendship & a deeper connection between Irish and Aboriginal people through storytelling, poetry, music, art and more at the beautiful Kidogo Arthouse.
The end of a workday, now we can have some relaxing and quality time together.
I went to Yoshitomo Nara’s exhibition yesterday with a friend of mine. It is a beautiful exhibition and we fully enjoyed it. I already loved his work, but now with the addition of his big fibre-reinforced polymer sculptures I love it even more.
My two artworks ‘Awaiting One’s Presence’ and ‘Finding Your Tribe’ are now showing at Cyrenian Café in Kalamunda, Perth hills. They are happy to support me, one of their loyal customers and local artist, and I am happy to support them, my favourite café in the neighbourhood and part of much needed organisation @cyrenian_house here in WA. Thank you Lisa! @lisasledzinski Thank you for our little collaboration ☺️🙏
Life’s A Daisy
I’m trying to make as many stitches a day as I can just because I want this piece to be ready in a few months from now. I’m making so many stitches these days that last night I dreamed I was on a boot camp 😆😅 And then I woke up, fell back to sleep and I was still on that same boot camp 😆😅 When my alarm went of this morning first thing I felt was surprise, because I didn’t have the impression I’d had a whole night sleep 😳😅
I made a sketch of my Binkie. I call it BREATHING SPACE
Wing of a….work in progress ☺️
